Chris Haslam- Head of Athletic Performance

Haslam exits Brentford after nine years, having joined them in 2016 as Head of Academy Sport Science, before being promoted to First Team Head of Performance a year later. This was his second spell with the club, having been their Head of Conditioning from 2010 to 2014.

Andreas Georgson (First Team Assistant Coach)

The Swede, who appeared on Episode #37 of the TGG Podcast, left Manchester United at the end of May, after just a year. His specialism is as a Set Piece Coach – a role he held at United, Southampton, Arsenal and Brentford – and he will once again be focusing on that area for Tottenham.

As is my pattern, I've gone all in with Frank after watching and listening to a lot of content in the last few days.

He seems to have that rare blend of intelligence, humility and warmth, which is such a great combination for a manager - evidenced by Brentford's really lovely farewell statement.
This all feels so sensible, positive and right.
A team of coaches that really enjoy improving players and working with youth joining us when we have a team of younger hungry players who have scope to be shaped and honed.
A set piece specialist coming in as well as a hugely rated attacking coach to be presented with a squad of pretty technically gifted players.

Really feels like something great could be built now, without even needing that much transfer churn.

Brentford fans apparently livid Frank didn't take Claus Norgaard with him - he's their defensive coach, and by all accounts has not been great at his job given their defensive frailties this season.

By contrast, they are livid they lost Justin Cochrane, who was apparently being groomed as their future manager.

Promising stuff to have staff who are good at their jobs and have proven themselves at Premier League level.

Interesting also to see what happens with Matt Wells and Rob Burch - I don't mind a manager having a large staff, but we have historically proven reluctant to acquiesce to that for some bizarre reason.

Agreed JerusalemMan.
I was really pleased we got Thomas Frank, but a huge part of what made Thomas Frank successful was his backroom staff/ coaches/ fitness and technical analysts... and we got them too.
Brilliant work from the Spurs directors.

from about 10 min onwards you can watch how he works with his staff 4 months ago at brentford - video analysis and on the training ground. brentford were very open about sharing his system - this could have been TF's linkedin video lol

glad to see that TF is comfortable surrounding himself with people who are experts and experienced at what they do

So one would assume Rob Burch has left the club. He didn't leave with Ange and the other coaches from memory.

I googled 'Rob Burch leaves Tottenham' and all that comes up is three staff have left but Burch and Wells remain? It does seem likely he is going/gone regardless....

Yeah, we just wondering whether he'd hung around in another capacity. I noticed we announced Martin Ho for the women's team and he'd be building out his own coaching team. Chris Williams was the incumbent GK coach there. We also had Dean Brill as the U21 GK coach.

From a piece by Ally Gold yesterday on the coaching set-up :
Nick Montgomery, Sergio Raimundo and Mile Jedinak departed the club last month while goalkeeping coach Rob Burch is not expected to be part of Frank's set-up. Ex-Liverpool and USA goalkeeping coach Fabian Otte is set to replace him within the new-look staff.

So sounds like he's still on the books, but not for much longer.

Also as per Gold's understanding, Matt Wells now confirmed and Stuart Lewis is stepping up from the U18s to Frank's coaching team.

Finally, we can announce that Rob Burch has left the Club. A former player and coach in our Academy, Rob returned to us as First Team Goalkeeping Coach in 2023. We thank him for his service and wish him well for the future. A member of our Spurs family, he will always be welcome at the Club.
