What happened to Twilight Sparkle in Make Your Mark? ›

Twilight is later seen as a hologram in Chapter 2 of My Little Pony: Make Your Mark in Growing Pains. Her message warns the Mane 5 about Opaline, the pony whom tried to steal Equestria Magic, which is now more powerful than it has ever been and informs them of magic always changing and growing stronger.

Spike reappears in The Isle of Scaly as the Dragon Lord after having slumbering for generations as Blaize woke him up with a large horn when Sunny and the ponies visited him to warn him and the dragons of the evil Alicorn, Opaline.

So in the comics, the reason why Equestria fell and the types of ponies split was because Opaline spread racist rumors throughout Equestria, leading to Twilight placing magic in the crystals to stop this, but it backfired and everyone split up and Twilight sealed Opaline away.

Twilight makes a cameo appearance in "Growing Pains" where she appears to Sunny Starscout and her friends via a message through the Unity Crystals. She warns them about an "evil pony" that tried to steal all of Equestria's magic years ago.

The final season focuses on Twilight preparing to become the new ruler of Equestria before Princess Celestia and Princess Luna's retirement. At the same time, an evil ram named Grogar recruits Twilight and her friends' worst enemies in a plot to take over the kingdom.
