Poppy Playtime Chapter 3 release date
Poppy Playtime Chapter 3 released on January 30, 2024. Initially scheduled for an earlier release, Mob Entertainment gave a statement on X on December 11, 2023, in which Zach and Seth Belanger stated that they “made the unfortunate decision to delay Poppy Playtime Chapter 3 several additional weeks into 2024.”
While no set reason was given for the delay, outside of that it ‘is not ready yet,’ the departure of key members of staff in the closing weeks of 2023 could have been part of the cause. More specifically, Micah Preciado, Zachary Preciado, and Andy Gill, all of whom chose to leave Mob Entertainment due to creative differences.
Poppy Playtime Chapter 3 mobile release date speculation
While Poppy Playtime Chapter 3 hit PC on January 30, there’s no word on the game’s mobile release date. However, we suspect it’ll come to iOS and Android sometime this year. Who knows, perhaps we’ll get it on Nintendo Switch as well, thanks to the recent release of Chapter 1 on the eShop.
Is there a Poppy Playtime Chapter 3 trailer?
MOB Games uploaded a teaser trailer for the third chapter to its YouTube channel in August 2022. This trailer allows you to hear a man speak about the toy factory and an orphanage over a loudspeaker before a red gas mask appears in the spotlight.
The second Poppy Playtime Chapter 3 teaser trailer is now live!In this teaser, we see a fire burning strongly, walls covered in scrawling text, a decapitated Huggy Wuggy, and a jumpscare from a shadowy figure, before the words ‘Chapter 3 Deep Sleep’ appear on the screen.
The official Poppy Playtime Chapter 3 gameplay trailer shows off some gameplay for the third installment in Mob Entertainment’s horror series. It features some creepy new locations, intense dialogue from Poppy herself, and a real sense of foreboding surrounding what lies ahead in this much-anticipated sequel. The latest Poppy Playtime Chapter 3 trailer gives us a good look at what we can expect from the chapter, showing off pictures of children and dilapidated locations as a voice speaks out about Playcare, which we also get a look at. We can also see that Poppy is indeed in this sequel, as is Poppy Playtime’s Kissy Missy, a toy we can’t wait to see more of due to the way she helps us in Chapter 2. Plus, we finally get a proper look at the toy that’s wiping out the heretics, and it’s safe to say that we’re terrified.
What is Poppy Playtime Chapter 3?
Poppy Playtime is a survival horror game with puzzle-based gameplay, developed and published by MOB Games. You play as a former employee of a popular toy company from the past called Playtime Co., revisiting the abandoned toy factory you worked at ten years after the disappearance of other staff.
Wandering the halls in a first-person perspective, you need to solve puzzles using your GrabPacket gadget, all while avoiding the lanky, nightmarish, possessed toys that want to play with you. Poppy Playtime Chapter 3’s story
Chapter 3 is the next part of the Poppy Playtime story. While we don’t want to spoil anything too big, wecan say that the big bad of the chapter is Poppy Playtime’s CatNap (a ghastly pink cat with harrowing eyes), and this kitty is determined to stop you from unraveling what really happened at the factory. You need to overcome not only CatNap but also the Poppy Playtime Smiling Critters, Poppy Playtime’s Miss Delight, and other fearsome foes to survive.
As expected, we get a gas mask to help us navigate various parts of the game. It takes place in an area known as the Dome and features new puzzles for you to tackle, but luckily, you have access to various upgrades to the grabpack.
